September 5th, 2019 – The City Management Department continues to carry out works throughout the city of Freeport.

Teams have been dispatched and are currently working to make all main roads clear and accessible to motoring traffic. This includes cutting of large trees, removal of debris, and stock piling for collection via large pick-up trucks.

This work is taking place today at the Domestic and International Airports, on The Mall Drive, East Sunrise Highway, and Coral Road.

Although a few of the subdivisions have been assessed for impassable roads due to fallen trees, please note that all subdivisions will undergo debris removal once the main roads have been completed.

Residents are encouraged to clean their properties of vegetation and household debris and place them curbside for removal. Pick-up trucks will be dispatched for a single collection in the coming days.

As your safety is important to us, we ask that you drive with caution and care throughout the city.
We are grateful for your cooperation and patience as we work together to restore our island.
